Elementary Faculty

Olivia Brown has served as an educator and administrator at The Country School for over 15 years. The first 10 years were spent in the classroom as a teacher. Olivia's abilities as an administrator reflect her many years of experience working hands on with the students. Students' well being and strong education are the primary focus for Olivia.

A graduate of Pacific Oaks College with a degree in Leadership in Education /Diversity, Olivia brings a sensitivity and worldly understanding to the issues of diversity and inclusion on the TCS campus and in the curriculum.

Under Olivia's guidance, TCS has established itself as a leader in anti-bias curriculum for our students and staff. Olivia has helped to ensure our children's social fluidity to allow for greater opportunities in their future education and careers.

Olivia's work includes presenting workshops at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the California Association of Independent Schools, and the Alliance for Minority Affairs, Across Color Conference, and at various independent schools. This year Olivia joined the Board for The Alliance for Minority Affairs, and she is the Chair of Southern California People of Color in Independent Schools.
