HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES TCS HAS TAKEN DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
As Covid-19 emerged in early 2020, the Leadership Team at TCS began to create a detailed multi-tiered plan to respond to the news that was changing daily. We closely monitored the information being released by federal and local government agencies and developed prevention policies and education within our school community. We instituted the following campaigns to reduce the chances of viral transmissions:
Community-wide hand washing campaign
Classroom and community educational communications on important health and safety practices
Increased school-wide classroom and topical surface cleaning
Frequent communications detailing the TCS response to the crisis, prioritizing the well-being and education of our students
Once our community began a mandated Stay at Home initiative, our Distance Learning Program was initiated. As the Spring progressed, it became clear that our short-term plan to stay at home would continue until the end of the school year. Our Task Force is working closely with our Facilities and Operations departments to ensure that the TCS campus will be ready for a return of students, faculty, and staff.
CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS SAFELY
We understand family and friends are needed now more than ever, but we ask this holiday season to consider how your holiday plans can be modified to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep your families, friends, and communities healthy and safe.
Please see the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s Guidance for Celebrating Holidays. We ask that everyone in the TCS Community be mindful of these guidelines and continue to practice precaution and safety.

Operating scenarios AT Tcs
Our current order by local and state authorities has been to start the upcoming 20-21 school year with our Elementary and Middle School students utilizing our Distance Learning Program, and our Preschool to utilize on-campus classes. In order to accommodate the required social distancing, health, and safety protocols, our classrooms will be divided into smaller cohorts and classes will be self contained.
Our Task Force has ran through several scenarios and put several safety measures in place to accommodate on-campus learning for Preschool, and for when it is allowed for Elementary and Middle School to return to campus. For all of our students, classes will be held 5 days per week.
