Take a peek inside to see what vibrant lessons happening inside of TCS classrooms this week!
Yellow Roomers are learning about artists, poets, and other professionals in the African American community in celebration of Black History Month. They learned about African American artist, Bill Traylor who created his art of scraps of cardboard and other found items because it was all he could afford. They learned how art is not just about the end product, but about the experience and personal journey each artist takes.
Some of our Kindergarten parents joined in Friday’s meditation session. Chill vibes ahead for the weekend!
It was SLIME TIME for the Second Graders with Olive as the Friend of the Week! The Kasower Family taught the students how to make fun and gooey slime. They have also been learning the history and life of George Washington. Each student constructed a portrait of our first president.
Fourth Graders completed their study of the 4 California regions. They read The Wonderful Towers of Watts and wrote comprehension paragraphs from their discussion. They looked at pictures on the Web and got a vision of how they wanted to draw their picture.
Welcome back to Monty, who is recovering from surgery and back at school with his TCS friends!
